Center for Excellence in Learning and Teaching (CELT)
The Center for Excellence in Learning and Teaching (CELT) Organization at Briar Cliff University was created to support instructional personnel in their continued development as excellent teachers and scholars in order to improve the learning community/environment for students.
CELT defines excellence as effectiveness, engagement and use of evidence-based practices for ongoing improvement of teaching and learning. Our learning and teaching community includes anyone who is engaged with our students in an instructional context. This includes faculty, advisors, administrators, and staff. We work with these employees to:
Facilitate discussion about learning-centered education and best pedagogical practice
Four Seasons Health Club
Exercise is critical to your mental and physical health. At Briar Cliff, we value taking care of our community, not just as a student or a staff member, but as a whole. That is why we partner with Four Seasons Health Club. As a Briar Cliff University student or employee, you have a free membership to this full service, local fitness center.
