In this, about 47 plots range from 480 sqm to 10,000 sqm. The scheme also includes a 24,000 sqm plot which can be used for setting up a hotel in Sector 96 and 1,980 sqm of commercial space at the proposed Habitat Centre.”
The Noida Authority officials said that the gates will encourage investments NOIDA: Amid complaints from residents over civic services, the Noida Authority is expediting work on entry gates, which are aimed at boosting the image and beauty of the city. Three of four such gates will be ready by July-end. But residents said that the focus should be more on providing basic infrastructure and facilities. “The city requires quality and quantity water, proper electricity supply, better roads, sanitation and drainage. The money spent on beautification of the city is a waste of taxpayers’ money,” said a resident. However, officials said that the gates, built at a cost of Rs 9.3 crore, are a part of the city development works and will encourage investments.

TOI has learnt that the local administration will soon begin an exercise to evaluate the prevailing land rates in the three revenue sub-divisions of the district — Dadri, Sadar and Jewar. Circle rates are updated every year, usually on August 1. From 2017, the circle rates in Noida, Greater Noida and other parts of the district have largely remained unchanged. But this time the need to revise them upwards is being felt as the three industrial development authorities of Noida, Greater Noida and Yamuna Expressway have jacked up the property rates over the past three years. In UP, the government charges 7% of the property value as stamp duty.
Highlights GB Nagar district magistrate Suhas LY assured the administration will discuss the issue with the representatives of market associations to find a solution. East Delhi markets including Laxmi Nagar’s main market have been closed till July 5 for flouting COVID-19 norms. New Delhi: As East Delhi markets have been shut due to violation of COVID-19 norms, Noida markets also fear the same fate due to high footfall and little to no adherence to the coronavirus protocols. Atta market association in Noida has asked the authorities for stricter enforcement of the norms. As per a Times of India report, the market association has asked the authorities to control the number of unauthorised vendors in and around Atta market. “It has hardly been a week since the market opened and we are already seeing a large crowd. Representative image NOIDA: Residents have complained of a 15% water tariff hike by the Noida Authority, saying that the quality and quantity of water has deteriorated over the past few years. Meanwhile, district Youth Congress workers took out a protest march from Sector 18 against fuel prices Rajesh Sahay, secretary of Noida Federation of Apartment Owners Associations (NOFAA), said, “The abnormal increase in water charges is without any basis. First, the authority has done nothing to improve the quality and quantity of water provided and the diameter of the supply pipe has not changed from last year. It is beyond our comprehension that they have cited an increase in supply quantity behind the hike. I request the Authority to rollback the increase in water charges.” Sahay added that in April, 12 societies in Sector 61 submitted a joint representation for rollback of increased bill and sought extension till July 31 to claim 10% rebate. “However, the water department is yet to take any action,” he said.
