TOPSHAM – Patricia Steffens Clark, 97, of Topsham and Center Ossipee N.H., died on April 25, 2021 in Topsham. Patricia was born in Farmington, Maine in 1923 to the late Richard and Dorothy (Buker) Steffens.
Pat graduated from Palmer (Massachusetts) High School and Wheaton College, Norton Mass. as a member of the class of 1945. Her college years coincided with those of World War II and she often shared memories of the impact the war had on her college experience – rationing, blackout shades, and transportation restrictions. After college, Pat moved to New Haven, Conn. where she worked as a claims adjuster for Liberty Mutual Insurance Co. It was in New Haven that she met her future husband, Cornelius E. Clark Jr., a law student at Yale. They married in 1948.

DAKOTA COUNTY, MN Random Acts of Kindness Day, set this year for Wednesday, Feb. 17, sees an amplified importance in 2021 as people in Dakota County and throughout the world continue to struggle with the coronavirus pandemic that is now more than 11 months old.
Among the ways to make a difference on Random Acts of Kindness Day this year is to make sure your neighbors in Dakota County have enough to eat.
For about 39,000 people in Dakota County, food budgets are stretched thin from job losses, business closures and other economic havoc wrought by the pandemic. That s according to a projection by Feeding America, the nation s largest hunger relief organization, which notes that as many as 50 million Americans faced food insecurity at 2020 s end.
