On May 23, 2021 Blair suddenly and unexpectedly but peacefully passed away at the cottage where he was the happiest, spending his days fishing surrounded by people that he loved. He leaves the love of his life with a broken heart but was able to fill it with love and memories every waking day.
Alexander Blair Young was the much loved husband of Danielle; stepfather of William Thomas and Jacqueline Thomas; fun loving Papa to Austin and Ariella; loving son of Bonnie and David Young of Morden, Manitoba; big brother to Sherri Young-Waterchief of Morden, Manitoba and Keith Young (Melanie) of The Pas, Manitoba; loving uncle to Ross, Erin, Landon, Alexa, Dylan, McKenzie, Quinn; great-uncle to Emmitt and Frankie; son-in-law of the late William and Joyce Boissoneau; brother-in-law of the late Diana Jamieson (Alan), Donna Kozak (late Tom), Denise Engelage (John), Darlene Siemers (Mike), Donald Boissoneau (Michelle), Dina Seabrook (Paul), late Danny Boissoneau (Doreen), Derinda Lannigan (Tom), and late Derrick Boissoneau (Joanne), and adored uncle of numerous nephews and nieces.

SCOTLAND has produced an array of top female musicians and singers from Annie Lennox, Sharleen Spiteri of Texas and Lauren Mayberry of Chvrches to Amy Macdonald, Lulu and Liz Fraser of Cocteau Twins.
But now there are plans under way to better recognise the role of women in Scottish music - and highlight the obstacles they face including sexism through a new film.
Some £17,000 has already been raised to get archive footage for the Since Yesterday documentary that will feature 80s pop punks Strawberry Switchblade as well as Grammy award-winning KT Tunstall.
Since Yesterday: The Unsung Pioneers of Scottish Pop aims to celebrate the songs, stories and journey of Scotland's all-female bands from 1960 to 2010.

George & Blair's Auto undergoes leadership change
ALLIANCE After about 20 years, George & Blair's Auto will be under new leadership.
Austin Everett, 20, of Salem, is leasing the auto shop from owner Blair Young, 70, of Alliance. The lease is for one year, with an option to buy at the end of the year.
The shop at 350 E Patterson St. will reopen in April under the name A-Town Auto Worx LLC.
Young's father, George, opened the shop in 1958. Young took over after his father retired and has enjoyed taking care of people's cars and working in the Alliance community. He decided to lease the shop because he felt it was time to retire.
