In a major move NCUI President Dileep Sanghani who doubles as the Chairman of Amreli District Cooperative Bank announced New Year (Makar Sankranti) gift to the farmers of the district of Amreli in Gujarat.
The Board of DCCB, called Amreli Jilla Madhyastha Sahakari Bank, which sat on the auspicious day of New Year, passed a resolution to insure 4 lakh members associated with the bank under the PM Bima Yojana.
Talking to Indian Cooperative on the phone from Amreli, a jubilant Sanghani said “Amreli Jilla Madhyastha Sahakari Bank becomes the first DCCB in the country to insure so many members under the Pradhan Mantri Bima Yojana.” ....
