Marlene Mary Moulen
BIDDEFORD Marlene Mary Moulen went to be with our loving Lord on Feb. 3, 2021.
She was born on Nov. 5, 1942, in Saco, Maine, the daughter of Bethena Leona Wakefield and Frank Carl Moulen Sr., and the sister of Frank Carl Moulin Jr. Ms. Moulen held a Master’s Degree in Social Work and was a dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse of 29 years. She performed nine years at the former Webber Hospital in Biddeford and20 years at Maine Med in Portland, with 10 of those years in the Burn Unit. She never let anyone die alone and held their hand.
In the 19 years of her retirement, she dedicated herself to cleaning the former MERC plant, the mills, businesses on Main Street, the apartment building where she resided at for 17 years, accepting no pay. In her mid-70s, she continued to assist the Main Street businesses by shoveling and raking snow off roofs, buildings, sidewalks and always shoveling out the fire hydrants.
