That’s what some residents of Cabbagetown did to help make their lives feels a bit safer. And they are crowdfunding to help pay for the added protection.
“Starting in November, a small group of neighbours got together and engaged private security company, Primary Defence Corp., to patrol Seaton, Ontario, Milan, Berkeley & Poulette Streets between Dundas and Shuter,” states a GoFundMe campaign introduction. “The security guard has been performing safety patrols at night. The goal of the security patrol is to work alongside our first responders to increase safety in our neighbourhood.”
