NORWALK Police said a high school student working as a lifeguard pulled a 9-year-old girl from the waters of Long Island Sound on Tuesday and performed cardiopulmonary resuscitation to revive her before first responders arrived at Calf Pasture Beach.
Sgt. Sofia Gulino said the child was at the beach with a guardian, but did not say how the child got away from the person, the guardian’s relationship to the child or how she ended up alone in the water.
