For nearly half her life, 32-year-old Laura Evans only knew the Army life.
âI served 14 amazing years in the Army,â Evans said.
She served a tour in Iraq and one in Kuwait. She went into law enforcement before settling on a career as a human resources specialist for the federal government.

Unemployed or underemployed residents of the county must first register and speak with organizers before committing to up to 20 hours a week in training classes.
According to Simmons, 40 to 50 people have been placed in medical jobs since last year.
