Food Giveaway Held on Monday at St. Vincents DePaul

The Mountaineer Food Bank Mobile Pantry food giveaway took place on Monday, December 23, in New Martinsville, WV. Long lines formed early as people awaited the food distribution taking place at the St. Vincent DePaul Catholic Church on Rosary Road just off State Route 2. The Mountaineer Food Bank is located at 484 Enterprise Drive in Gassaway, WV. The food handout was in conjuction with the Catholic Charities of New Martinsville. The event started at 11 a.m. and continued while supplies lasted, with each vehicle receiving one box of food. The giveaway was originally scheduled to take place last week, but the food truck showed up without the needed boxes of food. Organizers and those in line to receive the food for disappointed, however it was soon rescheduled and took place as promised. With an estimated 200-300 vehicles arriving to receive a box full of groceries, it was sure to bright
