Beckett Foltz, 5, a preschool student at the Acorn School in Lock Haven, opens Easter eggs with his parents, Art and Ashley Foltz.
LOCK HAVEN As the children moved into the room with their Easter baskets in hand, one could see their eyes get wide. Easter eggs were everywhere.
Their baskets weren’t empty for long.
Acorn School education director Melissa Litz counted down the seconds and the pre-school youngsters were off and running, filling their baskets with the colored plastic eggs.
In less than a minute, it was over.
“They had a lot of fun,” Litz said, who noted that the parents contributed the eggs for the hunt. “They’re all donated.”

LOCK HAVEN With just a few days before Santa Claus arrives, students at Lock Haven’s Acorn School got into the Christmas spirit with an outdoor concert for their families.
The concert was held outside to keep everyone safe and socially distanced. As trucks whizzed along Walnut Street, the students belted out some holiday favorites. They performed classics like “Jingle Bells,” “Frosty the Snowman” and “Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer” complete with red noses for the number.
