Monadnock Ledger-Transcript Published: 6/3/2021 12:08:22 PM An announcement regarding the future of the Bond Wellness Center is expected on July 1, Monadnock Community Hospital spokesperson Laura Gingras said on Wednesday. “At this time, no decision has been made about restoring the Bond Wellness Center’s fitness membership programming,” she wrote in a statement. The hospital’s Board of Trustees are evaluating the wellness center’s best use moving forward, she said, in light of the financial pressures the COVID-19 pandemic put on all hospitals. The Wellness Center closed at the start of the pandemic to protect patients, employees, and the community from COVID-19. Currently, the facility’s fitness floor and pools are being used for physical therapy and cardiac and pulmonary rehabilitation programs, Gingras said. ....

According to dietitian Donna Poe of Monadnock Community Hospital, oats can sometimes contain gluten because of cross-contamination during the farming of oats. “They could be processed in an environment with gluten or grown next to a wheat field,” Poe said in an interview. She said there is still research going on today to discover if some oats, in and of themselves, contain gluten. ....

According to Peterborough Police Chief Scott Guinard, Michael Dugrenier, 51, of Peterborough was hit by a 2012 Cooper driven by Peter Blais, 34, of Concord, who was driving north at about 6:30 p.m. Dugrenier was pronounced dead at the scene. In a press release, Guinard said the exact cause of the accident is not known. The accident is being investigated by Peterborough police and a state police Technical Reconstruction Team. Guinard said Blais stopped his car, which had heavy front-end damage, after the accident. ....
