Now That We Know Diddy Once Scrapped With J. Cole, Who Will the Mogul Fight Next?

and anything else that catches his attention.
Diddy’s history of high-profile quarrels continues
The biggest revelation on the new J. Cole album comes on “Let Go of My Hand,” where he confirms a rumor that he got into a physical altercation with Diddy at a VMAs afterparty in 2013. “My last scrap was with Puff Daddy, who would’ve thought it?” Cole admits, almost regretfully. The details of the incident are still unclear, but the initial report involved a drunk Diddy pouring a drink on Kendrick Lamar’s head, and Cole getting in between the two before he was thrown out.

An Introduction to Milwaukee's Fast-Emerging Rap Scene

and anything else that catches his attention.
Milwaukee is up next
There are similarities between Detroit and Milwaukee’s respective street rap scenes, but that doesn’t mean they are the same. Yes, both rely on animated personalities, absurdly funny punchlines, and beats with lots of cheap-sounding pianos and steel drums, and neither scene could care any less about recording quality or video budgets. But there’s something slightly darker about the rap in Milwaukee.
Watch any music video on the city’s thriving hometown YouTube channels, Teeglazedit Production or Rich Nerds Production, and you’ll see gray skies, outdated fashion, decaying infrastructure, and raps with a small worldview. It’s like the Detroit scene from five years ago, before an influx of label money turned it into an enviable rap destination. Milwaukee still has a chip on its shoulder.

"Royal Rumble" Is the Ultimate Michigan Rap Posse Cut—But Who Has the Best Verse?

and anything else that catches his attention.
Ranking the verses on Lil Yachty’s Michigan rap free-for-all
Saved by the Bell theme song, and bonding with teenagers on TikTok, he’s working hard to fit into Michigan’s thriving rap scene. On “Royal Rumble,” the Atlanta star is joined by six others, most of them Michigan stalwarts, for a no-holds-barred marathon. Of course, I had to figure out who had the best verse.
7) DC2Trill
There has to be a reason why Texas native DC2Trill was included on this posse cut, but I just can’t figure out what it is. He’s not a good rapper. Maybe it wouldn’t be as noticeable if he wasn’t spitting alongside a bunch of great ones. It feels more like a fan won a raffle, and the reward was an awkward, 30-second guest spot on a single of their choice. He has no funny punchlines and his voice is barely audible. According to his SoundCloud bio, he currently stays in Hollywood, California, so maybe he allows Michigan rappers to come over, play video games, and smoke weed indoors whenever they’re in town. If so, that would be a decent reason to feature him—especially if he has a really comfortable couch and a fully stocked fridge, and lives around the corner from their favorite taco spot. That said, it is still the worst verse.
