A 5-year-old Alabama boy’s mission to clean up the Gulf Coast is capturing national attention.
Oliver Caver of Gulf Shores was featured on “Good Morning America.” Caver, along with his father, Ryan, are the organizers of “Clean Horizons,” which works to inspire others to clean-up the coast.
Ryan Caver said Oliver began his mission after he learned the danger beach trash poses for marine life. Oliver challenged his dad to see who could pick up the most trash and, before long, the pair had picked up more than 3,500 pounds of debris.
