Mae guitarist Zach Gehring’s latest rock project, Demons, has dropped another single off their upcoming full-length album,
Privation. The latest taste of their new record bears just as much angst and aggression as the first two singles, with an extra dose of raw punk rock.
Gehring has this to say about the track:
“‘Full Stop’ is about, on the one hand, knowing what I’m angry about, but not knowing how to mobilize that anger and make it productive. Being in this wallowing state that is as frustrating as it is exhausting. On the other hand, it’s push back against empty sloganeered positivity.

Dead Witches
Oh hey. You like psych/doom right? Electric Wizard and Green Lung, that kinda thing? Like drinking a cup of mushroom tea and watching The Wicker Man? The proper one, not the “Nooooo! Not the bees!” Nick Cage version, I mean. Yeah, sure you do! Have a listen to D.I.E. (Dragged Into Emptiness) by Dead Witches, which features ex-members of Electric Wizard. Part of the forthcoming Doomsessions 666 from Heavy Psych Sounds, it’s a split with the French band Witchthroat Ser
Demons, the aggressive rock project of longtime Mae guitarist Zach Gehring, has released another new track, “Ravage,” off the band’s upcoming LP,
Privation. Hailing from Norfolk, VA, Demons has set out to push back on every social, personal, and political construct on their latest record. Following the album’s first single, “Play Acting Virtue,” their latest track takes the fury up a notch, ripping at the seams with bold conviction that leaves us hungry for more.
Privation is set for release on April 30 via Spartan Records and is now available for pre-order.
