HILLSBORO, Wis. (WKBT) – In March of 2018, News 8 Now told the story about a Hillsboro boy who lost his ability to walk after a car crash. Dodge Shore loves sports and lost his ability to walk after the crash paralyzed him from the waist down.
His mom found a wheelchair basketball league just outside Madison. Once again Shore stepped on a basketball court. Shore loves hunting but his situation makes his passion for the outdoors difficult.
I m doing school part-time and I have a one-year-old son now! His name is Ander. He s just starting to learn how to walk. He s crawling up on things. It s very fun, Eaton told us this week.
It all fell into place for him after speaking at an Olympic Day event at Intel in the Bay Area. Eaton was living there with his wife Brianne Theisen-Eaton, a 2016 Olympic Games bronze medalist and fellow Oregon alum. He was later hired by Intel in 2020.

In the latest update from the school board, it said that it has expanded in-person learning opportunities but has not yet started hybrid learning for all K-5 students as it had intended.
In January, PPS chief of schools Dr. Shawn Bird spoke on the moves PPS was making to try and make hybrid learning possible. It hopes to begin the transition in April.
“School administrators have been identifying the students that are eligible, and they’re reaching out to families individually, making sure that families understand this is optional and we want to make sure they feel safe,” he said.

Biden s rescue plan promises big bucks for Oregon schools February 21 2021
President Joe Biden s American Rescue Plan would provide hundreds of millions to Oregon school districts, if passed.
President Joe Biden s stimulus package aims to provide a major boost and big bucks to Oregon school districts as they struggle to reopen safely.
While some may be focused on the $1,400 direct stimulus payments that will land in most individuals wallets as part of the proposed American Rescue Plan, the gigantic $1.6 trillion package also would offer hundreds of millions of dollars to local schools.
Budget resolutions have passed both the House and Senate, but in mismatched form, and therefore the plan must undergo a budget reconciliation process before the 600-page bill lands on Biden s desk.
