Walking in the shadow of your father s footsteps is a tough task and Howard Morrison Jr, son of the late Sir Howard Morrison, understands this more than most. When he was a boy, kids would beat him up regularly just because of his name. “I got more hidings than I had hot breakfasts when I was going through primary and intermediate at boarding school,” he says.

Echoes, Storybox
Daily, until Feb 28, 8pm-midnight, 106A Cuba Street, Echoes is a giant digital mirror which is a photo-visualisation interactive installation designed to handle large amounts of visual data. It represents large collections of images as an impressive and cohesive whole – a giant mosaic constructed from thousands of smaller images. The image collection for City as a Theatre will be themed on ‘performance in Wellington’.

Doing justice to performing songs by the legendary Howard Morrison Quartet is a big ask, but it s a challenge Rotorua s Jack Grace is up to accepting. Grace has been given the official call up to join the Howard Morrison Quartet Take Two nationwide 14-date tour which starts in Tauranga next month.
