Detailed description is A Etec Profª Anna de Oliveira Ferraz, foi criada em 23 de fevereiro de 1948 pela Lei Estadual nº. 77, chamada na época, Escola Industrial, a qual extinguiu o Núcleo de Ensino Profissional que vinha funcionando desde 1934 e encampando a Escola Profissional Feminina Municipal, que funcionava juntamente com o Núcleo de Ensino Profissional. Da junção destas duas escolas, nasceu a Escola Industrial funcionando somente com classes femininas.. Em 1950 ingressa a primeira turma masculina e instala-se o curso de Mecânica de Máquinas. A equiparação da Escola Industrial às demais escolas secundárias foi efetivada pelo Decreto Estadual nº. 32.107, de 21 de janeiro de 1953. A Lei Estadual nº. 3.904, de 18 de junho de 1957, atribui como Patrono da Escola, a Profª. Anna de Oliveira Ferraz (1883-1932), de temperamento dócil, rigor de caráter e de repassada bondade, consagrou toda a sua vida ao ensino primário, numa época em que tudo era difícil e os recursos os mais parcos imagináveis.. A preocupação de ensinar já lhe era inata e instala uma escola para alfabetização dos operários das Cerâmicas de Santa Gertrudes. Por essa razão a Escola Industrial de Araraquara homenageou e reconheceu o seu trabalho destacado e desenvolvido em prol do ensino, instituindo-a como Patrono da Escola.. Vale destacar que a Profª. Anna de Oliveira Ferraz era mãe do eminente Ministro José Romeu Ferraz, figura representativa na época, que procurou dar todo apoio ao desenvolvimento da nossa escola. Em 1965, através do Decreto Estadual nº. 44.533, de 18/02, passou a denominar-se "Ginásio Industrial". Em 1976, muda o nome para Centro Estadual Interescolar "Profª. Anna de Oliveira Ferraz". Em 1980, volta a denominar-se Escola, mas "Escola Estadual de 2º. Grau Profª. Anna de Oliveira Ferraz", por dedicar-se a formação de técnicos e profissionais para atuarem em Araraquara e região.. Em 1994 passou a ser administrada pelo Centro Paula Souza, procurando galgar posições como líder de formação profissional. A Etec “Profª.
