Detailed description is Техник Технологийн Дээд сургууль. Institute of Engineering and Technology. www.iet.mn. It has been 30 years since we established our institute in 1984 when it was called Construction professional school No 5. During this time we taught thousands of students who work in construction and infrastructure. Our students studied in sectors of higher education, technical education, vocational education and vocational training.. In 2012 we became the Institute of Engineering and Technology. In this academic year 2013-2014, 143 vocational training students specialize in 5 professions, 1471 vocational education students specialize in 5 professions, 392 technical education students specialize in 6 professions, 724 higher education students specialize in civil engineering, road construction, architecture, plumbing and mechanical services, food preparation and service technologist professions. In total, there are 2587 students and 160 teachers and staff.. Due to the Institute’s development strategy and business plan to implement middle-term targets, we were selected by the Millennium Challenge Account project to become a Center of Excellence in construction and we lead education and training in this field in Mongolia.. . Since 2007 we have been cooperating with the German Society for International Cooperation /GIZ/. We have implemented foot path paving and roof truss fabrication courses and a project in teacher training. At the moment we are working together on a mining field vocational training and vocational education project.. The Institute was nationally accredited for a second time in 2012. As a first in Mongolia, the Institute was internationally accredited with Silver Accreditation in 2012 by the Asia Pacific Accreditation and Certification Commission. .
