The 10x10 Short Play Festival is inviting submissions for plays to be performed at the Gympie Heritage Theatre in October, 2015.. . Plays are to be original, and 10-minutes in length, with stories that encourage us to connect with our communities. Royalties will be offered from door sales at the festival with submissions closing July 31.. . Please share this information with your friends and writers who actively write for the stage. You could also consider writing in a new form to connect your story with a new audience.. . The Festival will be a performance of ten 10-minute plays showcasing the talents of artists from Gympie and throughout Queensland. The festival received Regional Art Development Funding (RADF) with the aim of celebrating the stories that connect communities. Groups of play readers will get together to read submitted plays and offer feedback to the selection committee. This will not only see the community reading and discussing live theatre, it will provide the backdrop to a locally produced festival of ten-minute contemporary stories from our region. .
