He began working in factories and in 1955 purchased land in Heatherton to begin market gardening.. . In the 1970’s, Angelo and his three sons moved to Clyde where they continued to grow the business. 20 years later, the 3 sons established themselves in the industry, moved to different areas to form their own companies and produce many varieties of vegetables .. . Frank (the middle son) stayed in Clyde and continued to farm the 100 acres. Franks oldest son Angelo began working with his father in 1991 at the age of 16. At this time they were growing predominantly carrots, parsnips and celery. Following a short stint in Robinvale with his uncle, Angelo returned in 2004 to the farm.. . Angelo soon realised that to stay competitive he needed to make some changes to what they grew and how they grew it.
