Lily was the one who has inspired me to open my own family day care. After studying for 2 years to become a primary school teacher I became a mother. I really wanted to be a part of my own child’s learning so I have put the study on hold and become a family day care educator. . Nothing makes me happier, and I am sure it is the same with your own children, than seeing my daughter happy. Here at Abby’s Little Munchkins Family Day care your family will have the opportunity to learn and grow alongside my own. . My absolute goal is for your children to feel safe and secure so they can learn in an environment that is supportive, fun and friendly. Children will be offered experiences that are designed for their development, needs, interests and family life. They will learn through play; hands on experiences and the use of their natural inquisitiveness to discover, explore, question, and test and create.. I have a senior first aid certificate, National Police Clearance and Working with Children Check. I am so undergoing my Certificate III in child services and hope to continue with my Education Bachelor Degree in the near future. I am also an associate with the Sunshine Coast Family Day Care Scheme.. As part of the Sunshine Coast Family Day Care Scheme and I am provided with regular training and professional development opportunities. They also provide resources and arrange play sessions with other carers in the area as well as ensure my service is operating to the highest standards with regular visits and safety checks of my home.. Although Long Day Care Centres can be perfect for some children I feel that Family Day Care provides a more personal approach to Child Care. In a relaxed home environment children can be given the time they need to settle in and accomplish tasks.
