Detailed description is AFAS Inc. is a non-profitable organisation and charity, dedicated to providing aid for Syrian refugees and orphans in Turkey. Why are AFAS & SAFA different to other charities?. An enormous amount of Syrian refugees that fled the war in Syria are from very affluent family backgrounds and are exceptionally skilled tradespeople, now left with only the clothes on their backs in an unfamiliar country feeling lost, destitute and hopeless.. Seeing the value of their skills AFAS helps refugees become part of the solution, freeing them from the need for ongoing charity. Over 288 refugees and orphans receive support for housing, bills, medical attention, food supply, education, clothing and most importantly become self-reliant and in turn give back to the community.. AFAS has taken the initiative and created an emergency housing scheme that has now leased rental properties for over 100 refugees in Turkey. Sadly thousands are still left without any support.
