Detailed description is The Panchsheel Cooperative House Building Society Limited (Regd. No. 827) was formed in year 1976. The society has enrolled 1764 members in the 1985-86. At present the society has 1711 members. The main objective of the society is to develop land to construct houses for its members. With this objective in view and funds contributed by its members, the society has purchased 155.92 acres land in 1985-86 at Village Rampur Kalan & Kuraree, Distt. Mohali and named it colony “AJITGARH” . The site is located on the Chandigarh-Rajpura Road, close to Banur Town. . . The land purchased by the society comes under agriculture land. The Punjab Govt. has given relaxation to the society under Punjab New Capital Peripheri Control Act-1952 and granted permission to establish colony after obtaining colonization licence from the Director Housing & Urban Development Punjab Chandigarh on dated 05/2/1992. During the course of time the department of Housing & Urban Development Punjab Chandigarh was converted to Punjab Urban Development Authority (PUDA). Then society had applied with the PUDA for issue of colonization licence and registered with PUDA as a Promoter vide registration certificate No. 2001/01.The approval of land use change was issued to the society by Addl. Secretary (Housing) in 2001. The colonization licence was issued to the society in 2002 vide licence No. LDC 2002/97 dated 21-2-2002. Then the society has demanded instalments of development charges from its members in the year 2002. The society has paid Rs. 2,59,11,930/- as External Development Charges to the PUDA. The zoning plan of the colony has been approved by the PUDA on 26/9/2008. . .
