ALDEA LOS JARDINES surge en 1987 de la mano de la señora de origen alemán, Hildegard Rasch, una destacada paisajista que compró junto a su marido un sitio de una hectárea y media que estaba cubierto de maleza y tenía sus cercos caídos. Allí construyeron primero la casa, limpiaron y desmalezaron el lugar y araron la tierra con una yunta de bueyes.. Después de plantar frutillas, trajeron el teléfono y construyeron su primera cabaña, que en un comienzo sirvió de Atelier para las dotes de pintura de la señora Hildegard. Alrededor del año 1991 comenzó la construcción de las restantes cabañas, un quincho, criadero de plantas y piscina, todo ello rodeado de un jardín con especies florales únicas en Chile.. Poco a poco comenzó a formarse este hermoso jardín, con un inmenso Magnolio, miles de Narcisos amarillos y ocres; cientos de Tulipanes rojos, lila, rosados y anaranjados; un abanico de Azaleas y Jazmines. Todo lo anterior fue combinado con especies nativas e introducidas de árboles frutales, pinos, arrayanes y mucho más.
