Sunal uçağa binmeden önce bilet kontrollerini yaptırırken hostese: ‘‘Canım, hiç gitmek istemiyor. Ama film çekimi var, gitmek zorundayım’’ demişti. Sunal gibi Vefa Lisesi'nden mezun olduğunu belirten Uğur Dündar ise, Kemal Sunal'ın, arkadaşlarından ayrılmamak için bir çırpıda bitirebileceği ortaokul ve liseyi, toplam 11 yılda bitirerek, ‘‘literatüre geçecek bir arkadaşlık tutkusu’’ gösterdiğini söylemişti.
