Casa-se e tem cinco filhos, sendo que o segundo deles (o primeiro homem) recebe o nome de THOMAZ GOUVEIA NETO, não imaginando que esse filho, anos de depois, levaria o nome GOUVEIA a uma altura nunca antes imaginada.. . Em 13/06/1945, o povoado de José Teodoro passa a chamar-se em definitivo Martinópolis, em homenagem ao seu principal colonizador: João Gomes Martins.. . Inicia-se então o seu primeiro comércio: tecidos, zíperes, botões, etc... A segunda loja vem algum tempo depois, comercializando materiais, sacos fechados, etc... A trajetória da Família GOUVEIA, no pequeno povoado é marcada pela participação ativa junto à comunidade. Na vida pública, elegendo-se vereador com a realização de obras de importância para a região.. . Após se casar, começam a nascer os filhos. O EMPÓRIO NOSSA SENHORA APARECIDA, era pequeno para tantas pessoas, tantos sonhos e objetivos. Nosso patriarca começa a entender que estava chegando a hora de partir da aconchegante Martinópolis, em busca de realizações maiores.. . A chegada em São Paulo, foi marcada por muito trabalho, logo na primeira loja, com os primeiros funcionários, toda a família trabalhava para o crescimento do pequeno negócio. Sr. THOMAZ faleceu no ano de 1993, pouco depois de uma viagem a Martinópolis, onde fora homenageado por familiares, amigos e políticos.. .
