Le Club a signé un exploit sans précédent dans la saga du basket français : en effet, la Roca Team est devenue la première équipe dans l'histoire à passer de la quatrième division (NM2) à la première division (Pro A) en quatre ans, après le titre de champion de France de ProB obtenu au mois de mai 2015.. . Une belle récompense pour un club qui puise ses racines dans une longue tradition. . La section basket de l'AS Monaco fut créée en 1928. Dès 1950, les basketteurs monégasques tenaient le haut du pavé, avec une place de vice-champion de France de Nationale 1 (la Pro A actuelle). Puis, la Roca Team devenait à nouveau pensionnaire de Nationale 1 de 1973 à 1975 et de 1976 à 1991, date à laquelle l'ASM prenait congé de l'élite.. . Il a donc fallu attendre près d'un quart de siècle pour que la Roca Team gagne le droit de rejouer au plus haut niveau. Un rebond éclatant.
