Picotours fue fundada en el 2001 por Warner Rojas Chinchilla.
En el año 2006, reforzado por Thessa Rienhart se convirtió en la empresa Aventuras Picotours S.A.
Se ha especializado en actividades al aire libre, siendo la principal actividad caminatas en la montaña, con la base en los Cerros de Escazú..

Con los años se amplió a caminatas que pasan por pueblos antiguos, rutas públicas y caminos abandonados en todo el Valle Central y sus alrededores.
Cada año pasamos por rutas conocidas y pasamos por rutas nuevas.
Lo que empezó con rutas cercanas de San José se expandió a rutas fuera del Valle Central hasta ir a giras de varias días para recorrer zonas como Rincón de la Vieja, Rio Celeste, PN Barra Honda, Cahuita y Manzanillo, La Fortuna de San Carlos, Cerro de la Muerte, etc..

Actualmente organizamos cada fin de semana una a dos caminatas a diferentes destinos y con diferentes grupos.
Hay entrenamientos para grupos privados entre semana enfocándose en un próximo reto personal de montaña.
Además se está llevando actividades empresariales entre semana y fines de semana trabajando metas como trabajo en equipo, perseverancia, planificación y buena salud.
