Detailed description is Degree Course (Six Semesters) in Bachelor of Science in Information Technology (B.Sc-IT) with a seat capacity of 40 under Dibrugarh University. The department started offering three year Degree Course (Six Semesters) in Bachelor of Science in Information Technology (B.Sc. IT) with a seat capacity of 40 from the academic session 2007-08, to promote professional courses in the Institute. The department has well equipped computer and electronics lab and a library with sufficient no. of books to cater to the needs of the students. The course is offered as per the course structure and syllabus of Dibrugarh University, Assam.. Students are admitted into the course through an Admission Test ( Physics, Maths – HS syllabus). Students must have Mathematics as one of the subject in HS to be eligible for the course.. . The department has well equipped Computers and Electronics laboratory and a library with sufficient numbers of books to cater to the needs of the students. . . The first batch of students pass-out in the year 2010 and most of them are employed in both Govt. Offices and Company.. . The Department has a plan to introduce Masters Degree courses like MCA, M.Sc. IT to cater to the need of the students and as a whole for the development of the Institute and Society.
