Carinya House of Hair & Beauty is a family owned and operated business in which I work with two of my daughters (Danielle & Gabrielle) and often enlist the assistance of my husband (Greg) and my other daughter (Rochelle). . . Our salon evolved from a vision that I had many years ago, in which I imagined a salon that was an extension of our home and the warm, welcoming and caring people that we are. I envisaged creating a space that whilst being a little bit special, was not intimidating and would be a place where anyone could come and feel welcome whist they enjoyed a little affordable luxury. . . The name Carinya is an aboriginal name that means ‘happy, harmonious home’ and therefore was the perfect choice of name for our salon. . . Carinya House of Hair & Beauty offers guests the very best in hairdressing, beauty skills and customer service, whilst offering staff a well organised, passionate, future focussed, happy, supportive and training oriented work environment. . . We are proud to be De Lorenzo ASPYA members. We love De Lorenzo products, and respect the fact that they are an organisation that are Australian owned and operated, predominantly plant based and do not test products on animals. We will never use cheap products at the basin, as our guests deserve nothing but the best! We don't 'up-sell' and will only recommend products that we truly believe I guest can benefit from. . . We have a very strong commitment to our community and in addition to donations of product and services, we also regularly hold ‘Ladies Days’ for women living in local shelters. On these days, the ladies can forget their worries for a day, be surrounded by people that not only care, but that inspire them to keep forging ahead to create new, stronger and happier lives for themselves. We close the salon for the day so that we can focus all our attention on these ladies as it’s important to give them our time as well as lunch, services and products. In fact, I believe that the time spent talking to them about life and our shared experiences is probably more important than anything else that happens on the day. These are some of our favourite days at Carinya as we know that we are making a positive difference in people’s lives!. . We are also very passionate about the environment, which is why we joined forces with Sustainable Salons. This organisation has provided us with the knowledge and tools we require to make a difference to the future of our planet.
