O Instituto Caros Ouvintes de Estudo e Pesquisa de Mídia nasceu como consequência da ampliação das atividades do site www.carosouvintes.org.br lançado para dar suporte a produção e lançamento do livro Caros Ouvintes – Os 60 anos do Rádio em Florianópolis, escrito por Ricardo Medeiros e Antunes Severo. No período de dois de agosto de 2003 quando foi definido o projeto, até quatro de agosto de 2005 quando foi lançado o livro, uma série de atividades ampliou a repercussão do trabalho que viria resultar na criação do Instituto em janeiro de 2005.. . Fundação: Dia 25 de janeiro de 2005 com a presença de Antunes Severo – coordenador do projeto do livro e do site – e dos parceiros Alexandre Côrtes Cerri, Cilene Macedo, Emílio Cerri Neto, George Alberto Peixoto, Giane Jacques Antunes Severo, Gisele C. Machado, Herivelto Gelle, Iran Manfredo Nunes, JársonElberto Frank, Júlio Balsini, Letícia Pacheco, Luiz Cláudio, Marcelo Letti, Marco Aurélio Gomes, Maria Augusta Bortoluzzi, Mariana Borges Cordeiro, Nivalda Jacques Severo, Raphael de Aguiar Ribeiro, Ricardo Leandro Medeiros, Ricardo Wegrzynovski, Roberto da Luz Costa e Vanderlei Peretti, realiza-se a Assembleia Geral de fundação na sede da ADVB/SC, a rua Presidente Nereu Ramos, 19 segundo andar no centro de Florianópolis, SC.. . Primeira diretoria: Ao final da Assembleia Geral de fundação, foram eleitos para um mandato de três anos – 25/01/2005 a 24/01/2008 – para o Conselho Fiscal: Mariana Borges Cordeiro, Letícia Pacheco e Marco Aurélio Gomes; e Antunes Severo, Diretor Superintendente e Vanderlei Peretti, Diretor Administrativo-Financeiro.. . Evolução: O Instituto contava então com a atividade voluntária de cinco pessoas em regime parcial até meados de 2012, quando foi tomada a decisão de se profissionalizar as atividades operacionais da instituição nas áreas administrativas, financeiras, de produção, técnica e desenvolvimento. . Esse processo contou com o auxílio técnico de consultoria empresarial do Sebrae/SC que orientou e ajudou a elaborar os necessários Planos de Negócios e Estratégias que estão sendo implantados desde o início de 2013..
