Le château-musée de Boulogne-sur-Mer est un musée municipal d'art et d'archéologie, situé à Boulogne-sur-Mer, dans le Pas-de-Calais.Installé dans un château édifié par Philippe Hurepel de Clermont en 1231, classé monument historique, le musée fondé en 1825 présente des collections archéologiques variées, constituant notamment le premier ensemble de France (hors Paris) pour les céramiques grecques, et un ensemble d'art inuit parmi les plus importants au monde. Il est actuellement dirigé par Céline Ramio.Le musée propose quatre grands départements : archéologie méditerranéenne, ethnographie extra-européenne, histoire locale et Beaux-arts.Le département d'archéologie méditerranéenne présente la collection égyptienne avec ses sarcophages et sa momie qui avait inspirée à Auguste Mariette sa vocation d'égyptologue. Il regroupe également la collection de céramiques grecques constituée de près de 450 pièces de qualité majeure comme le « Suicide d'Ajax » attribué à Exékias ; ce qui fait de cette collection la plus importante de province.Le département d'ethnographie extra-européenne invite le visiteur à un voyage à travers le monde depuis l'Amérique précolombienne et ses céramiques funéraires jusqu'à l'Océanie et sa riche collection qui en fait l'un des plus ensembles de France, en passant par l'Afrique et ses statuettes rituelles. Le point d'orgue du département est la présentation de la collection d'objets d'Alaska qui rassemble un ensemble unique au monde de masques sugpiat de l'île de kodiak, ainsi qu'une collection d'art contemporain autochtone d'Alaska, spécificité du musée de Boulogne.
