Detailed description is The CUS has been established under "The Srinagar and Jammu Cluster Universities Act, 2016" and the infrastructure development is funded through the Rashtriya Uchchattar Shiksha Abhiyan (RUSA) scheme of the Ministry of Human Resources and Development. The Cluster Universities have been established in the state under centrally-sponsored Rashtriya Ucchtar Shiksha Abhiyan (RUSA) to run series of additional and advanced courses in the existing colleges, with one of the colleges each in Srinagar and Jammu acting as lead college for the varisites. . The government has already approved creation of 124 posts for these Universities. All the participating colleges will be converted into constituent colleges of the Cluster University.. . Participating college for Cluster University of Srinagar are:. 1. Amar Singh College Srinagar. 2. Sri Pratap College Srinagar. 3. Women’s College M.A. Road Srinagar. 4. Govt. College of Education Srinagar (Now Institute of Advanced Studies in Education). 5. Govt. Degree College Bemina Srinagar (Now Abdul Ahad Azad(AAA) Memorial. College).
