Chapel is the biggest thing we do! Every Tuesday at 10 am, we meet at the Linn Memorial Sanctuary. The Chapel Band cranks up and someone delivers a short message that connects with real life. Our chapel band is directed by a group of students who are passionate for worship! We invite you to come and join us! . . Here are some questions everybody has had about chapel at one point in time or another:. . Who goes to Chapel? Students from lots of different majors and every class show up at chapel. Freshmen to Grad Students, you can almost be sure to see someone you know. . . Will I be the only one? We hope not! In 2016-2017 about 100 people showed up every week on average.. . What is the music like? Every week we strive to engage in an authentic worship experience, and the Chapel Band is essential in helping us achieve this goal.. . Do I have to be a Methodist? Nope. There are students from lots of different backgrounds who come to chapel. The service is Methodist "under the hood" mostly because our chaplain is a Methodist pastor, but everyone is welcome!. . Why should I go to Chapel? For many of us, chapel is the best part of the week. We get to connect to friends and strive for a closer relationship with God--not a bad way to spend 45 minutes!. . Beyond Chapel, people involved with CMU Campus Ministry go on mission trips to help people in the US and beyond, meet for Bible studies and prayer groups, and throw some of the biggest and best parties on campus.
