I started "Found" in 2014 when I run into a retro chair that was discarded. I took this chair to a work shop and learnt how to reupholster. Here is where the seed was planted. . . I dislike waste and our landfills are growing by the day. Old pieces have a history and the craftsmanship comes along with it. Yes, I love vintage pieces, but more so I love the restoration process and the final transformation that I hope will again be enjoyed by my client. . . Each of my pieces is alittle unique, not only because of the history or character, but normally a one off. I rarely repeat the same look, or use the same fabric.. . Each chair is reupholstered using principles I learnt and the body of the chair is either restored or painted. . .
