Tudo começou quando em 1994 a familia do Pastor João Cabral foi toda convertida a Cristo através da pregação do evangelho em cultos domésticos realizados por dois irmãos muito queridos da Assembléia de Deus, Pb.Carmo Coutinho e Mss. Elza Coutinho.. . A partir de então grandes foram os milagres de Deus nesta familia e logo surgiram as promessas de que daquele lar surgiria uma igreja.. . Cinco anos se passaram e todos estavam congregando numa igreja da Assembléia de Deus quando chegou o tempo do Senhor, para que aquelas promessas feitas no passado fossem cumpridas.. . E assim em 06 de Novembro de 1999 foi fundada a Comunidade Evangélica Rocha Viva, na zona sul de São Paulo, pelo Pr. João Cabral, juntamente com uma equipe formada por mais um Pastor e alguns obreiros que receberam de Deus a mesma visão ministerial.. . Os cultos começaram na garagen da casa do Pr. Cabral, pois não haviam recursos financeiros para alugar um imóvel. Mas em questão de meses o espaço estava pequeno e Deus providênciou os recursos para que pudessemos alugar um salão grande e com boa estrutura para cultuar.. . Desde então o trabalho da Comunidade Rocha Viva tem sido muito árduo, como já dissera o Senhor, mas também muito gratificante.. . Hoje depois de dez anos de ministério podemos ver que realmente o Senhor é aquele que cumpre suas promessas e que faz milagres através de homens e mulheres simples, que tem o compromisso com Sua Palavra.. . Assim é a Comunidade Evangélica Rocha Viva, um lugar onde a manifestação do poder de Deus é real e um espaço para o desenvolvimento da comunhão entre os homens através do amor de Jesus Cristo.. .
