Rachel has been training horses for well over 20 years, combining her own, natural talents with the knowledge she has gained from many well known Australian (& overseas) trainers & horsemen.. . In her younger days, Rachel competed very successfully in eventing, winning the award for the Highest Placed Junior Rider at the PCASA State Champs in 1995 (Junior State Champion) at PC1/EA Novice level eventing - this was on an ex-racehorse she'd trained herself. Rachel also has a very strong focus on dressage.. . In 1999, Rachel commenced work on her EA NCAS Level 1 coaching certificate, however was unable to finish it at the time. She has since re-started, however due to changes in EA rules, she now has to complete the EA Introductory level first.. . Crackerjack Equestrian:. . Rachel commenced training horses for clients in the late 90's. Unfortunately work commitments & family life slowed things down a few years later, so for many years she concentrated on her own horses - starting under saddle, training/re-training - & working with just a handful of outside horses.. . In 2015, Rachel acquired a new property near Eudunda, South Australia (45 mins. north of Gawler), enabling her to start taking on horses for clients once again.. . Rachel aims to produce horses that are calm, relaxed & willing under saddle.. . All horses are trained using natural horsemanship methods - no hobbles, no tying up legs, no draw reins (or any other 'training system' to encourage 'collection').. .
