The cuscus is an endangered marsupial native to the tropical island of Papua New Guinea. Similarly to every real clubber, the cuscus is extremely active at night, and his large eyes aid through its nocturnal lifestyle. The cuscus, together with the bird of paradise, an equally endangered species, will now show all the party hungry night owls the way through the thicket of the night.. . Since 2006, CUSCUS stands not only for the series of electronic music events with national and international DJs and residents, but also for high standard in music and educational work on nature conservation. CUSCUS cares about environmental issues and therefore confronts the party-community with a sensitive question of rainforest destruction, because that is the problem that concerns us all and has to find its own place in the party nightlife. . . Within the scope of our possibilities, CUSCUS wants to contribute to the protection of endangered species. Therefore from every entrance fee 1€ per visitor will be donated for a positive change. CUSCUS contributed with WWF Germany (World Wildlife Fund) behind this idea from 2009 to 2013, the leading organisation in wildlife conservation and endangered species. In 2013, CUSCUS decided to support directly a small organisation in Papua New Guinea and other environmental or social projects. . . In 2009 the CUSCUS concept was awarded for the sustainable thought in the "Be a futurist" competition proclaimed by the UNESCO.. Since 2010, CUSCUS is a part of Juicy Beats festival in Dortmund, the biggest electronic music festival in North Rhine-Westphalia region with CUSCUS Techno Floor. . .
