Detailed description is the toffee factory has something for everyone, handmade goodies, a bit on the side gourmet sauces, elephants rock cider, ice creams, meals, soccer golf As a very brief background to ourselves, Jon & Gill Atkinson, we have been operating in Denmark for some years, manufacturing “the toffee factory” confectionery as well as “a bit on the side” sauces & preserves.

Denmark is an up and coming tourist destination & the niche in the marketplace for locally made produce is immense.
Wholesale trade is a huge part of our business but having our own shop front has opened up many new avenues especially as customers are able to watch the gooey goodies being made on premise before their very eyes, and of course taste all the samples.
After quickly outgrowing the original premises, three years later, we moved to a custom built factory on a rural property at William Bay.
The Toffee Factory has now become known far & wide as a great tourist attraction for Denmark..

We also have a renowned history in the restaurant industry.
At our last restaurant, The Observatory in Denmark, we began retailing gourmet menu items, such as sauces, dressings, jams, salsas & chutneys, bottled & sold from the shelves in the restaurant.
These lines & more are also produced & sold from the factory outlet, marketed as “a bit on the side - sauces & preserves”..
The Toffee factory confectionery as well as A bit on the side sauces are sold throughout Australia & have also been exported to Hong Kong, Taiwan & Singapore..

After a couple of years research & development, the existing factory doubled in size to incorporate machinery, tanks, bottling, storage, cellar door etc etc.
