I use this page as a forum to showcase some of the dread work I carry out. . . GENERAL STUFF. . I've been involved with dreadlocks for over 5 years. I've been lucky enough to come across hundreds of amazing dreadheads, and help out with things like dread work (maintenances, repairs, installations, creating and adding extensions, up-styles and decorative wraps) and with my experiences about products and common dread concerns. I've also seen hands-on the differences in the ongoing quality of all sorts of dreadlock methods and products. . . THE METHOD. . The method of dreadlocking I use is most similar to a crochet method, however I incorporate a number of different methods when creating dreads (including light backcombing, aspects of the "rip and tear" method etc). It is a lovely, natural way to have dreadlocks. . . ***AVAILABILITY***. . Due to commitments I operate on a part time basis and therefore have a limited availability – which is currently at capacity. I do advertise on here whenever a new space opens up (for new installations, maintenances etc.) however new spaces purely depend upon new availabilities, so unfortunately I cannot give an estimate of when a new space will open up. . . PRICES. . Price varies due to a number of things (hair density and texture, length, desired thickness, whether you’re after extensions etc.) As it's extremely difficult to gauge these factors from a description or picture, I really need to check out your hair in person to be able to provide a solid quote. I insist on a consultation to be able to provide a solid quote, and also to be able to explain my process/method - as it is really important for you to be making an informed choice about whether my method of dreadlocking will be right for you, before I'll be able to confirm any new installation booking. . . CONSULTATIONS. . Consultations are open to anyone who is after some more information before making their decision to get dreadlocks, and also offer some things to consider when finding the right method/artist for you. These consultations have been designed as a really comprehensive look at what having dreads will be like, before having them. They cover things like: what to expect from having dreads, different methods of creating and maintaining dreadlocks to consider, how to best look after them, frequently asked questions and concerns etc.... They take approximately 30-45 minutes and cost $25.. . . PRODUCTS. .
