We have looked to alternative farm practices in developing a sustainable system at Dwarda Downs. This has lead to diversity in farm life including production of rainbow trout for human consumption. Other activities we have engaged in over the years are pork, poultry, and beef with several national awards in pork production.. . . Rainbow trout are purchased as small fry and grown out using Bruce's aquatic recirculation system. We provide fresh and smoked trout for local eateries such as Tanglefoot Winery and Wandering Tavern. These trout are also used to stock the hideaway billabong for recreational fishing purposes. Aquaculture byproducts are used to supplement the farm vegetable garden.. .
