Créée le 19 juillet 1949,sous la dénomination de Centre d'Apprentissage Forestier (CAF),après plusieurs phases intermédiaires (1952 Ecole Technique Forestière,1966 Ecole des Eaux et Forêts),le cigle d'Ecole Nationale des Eaux et Forêts,connu aujourd'hui date du 09 Juin 1980.. Depuis lors,au total 17 Directeurs ont eu la charge de la conduite des affaires de cette institution et un peu plus de 2500 cadres ont été formés à l'ENEF.
