Detailed description is *The EPPSL deptt offers studies in the areas of Educational Planning & Management which aims at producing a cadre of professionals across Pakistan*. The Educational Planning and Management (EPM) program has been the first ever Master’s degree venture of Allama Iqbal Open University. The department has been renamed as “Educational Planning, Policy Studies and Leadership” (EPPSL) in the year 2008. The early courses of the EPM program were lunched in 1976 by the Institute of Education. In 1984, the status of the Institute of Education was raised to the Faculty of Education and the department of Educational Planning and Management was created within the Faculty of Education to supervise different EPM programs. The Department of EPPSL offers studies in the professional areas of Educational Planning and Management which aims at producing a cadre of professionals to address planning & management needs in educational institution and organizations across Pakistan operating in public and private sector as well.. The EPM programs and courses are designed to be presented through the framework of distance learning to provide the educational personnel of all levels, on the job education and specialization in several areas of educational planning and management at Diploma, Master of Arts (MA), Master of Philosophy (M Phil) and Doctor of Philosophy (Ph D) degree stages.
