O Encontro Nacional de Pesquisa em Filosofia da UFOP é uma iniciativa dos alunos de graduação do curso de Filosofia da Universidade Federal de Ouro Preto (UFOP), com o apoio do Instituto de Filosofia, Artes e Cultura (IFAC), do Departamento de Filosofia (DEFIL), da UFOP e da Aliança Francesa. O objetivo central do encontro é promover a interação entre graduandos e pós-graduandos de diversas universidades do país em um ambiente propício para a discussão e divulgação de pesquisas filosóficas.. . Um dos diferenciais do Encontro Nacional de Pesquisa em Filosofia da UFOP em relação à maior parte dos encontros de pesquisa em filosofia do país é a adoção da avaliação anônima dos resumos enviados para a seleção de comunicações. Nenhuma comunicação será selecionada pela titulação do candidato ou universidade a qual esteja vinculado. Avaliaremos somente os resumos enviados, sem o conhecimento de suas autorias. Com isso, além de ampliar a imparcialidade, aumentamos a probabilidade de serem selecionados trabalhos com maior qualidade, dado que as parcialidades evitadas pelo Encontro Nacional de Pesquisa em Filosofia da UFOP não determinam o mérito dos trabalhos.. . Preocupando ainda com a qualidade das comunicações apresentadas, o encontro tem por característica um número limitado de mesas de comunicação (dez mesas com quatro comunicadores cada).. . Outro diferencial do Encontro Nacional de Pesquisa em Filosofia da UFOP é a abertura de um espaço para a apresentação e divulgação de pesquisas em filosofia e não somente em história da filosofia. Isso não significa que bons trabalhos de história da filosofia não serão selecionados, significa apenas que trabalhos nos quais os autores expõem argumentativamente suas próprias idéias terão espaço. Pensamos que essa abertura é demasiado importante, dado a situação acadêmica da filosofia no nosso país. Desde a graduação, na maior parte das universidades brasileiras, o estudante de filosofia não é incentivado a filosofar, podendo somente se restringir a expor as idéias de outros filósofos.
