Rodrigão, como é mais conhecido, é metalúrgico funcionário da MITSUBISHI desde o ano 2000. . No ano de 2004 fundou o SIMECAT - Sindicato dos Trabalhadores nas Indústrias Metalúrgicas, Mecânicas e de Material Elétrico de Catalão – GO. Em 2007 fundou a Força Sindical Goiás, onde Hoje representa 77 sindicatos em todo Estado.. Foi vereador, eleito em 2008 pelo PSDB, com 1963 votos, o vereador mais votado na história do PSDB. .
