Faith Community Bible School (FCBS) was birthed in 2009 in fulfilment of a dream that God placed in the heart of our visionary Senior Pastor Apostle Lawrence Khong.
It is intended to be a place where FCBC members can have a deeper understanding of the Bible and theology and learn the principles and skills of leadership by being exposed to FCBC’s leadership and their heartbeat, passion and philosophy of ministry, so that they can become more effective ministers in the marketplace.
FCBS offers a 2-month Certificate in Ministry programme and a 4-month Advanced Certificate programme..

In 2009, 48 people signed up for the English programmes, some of whom were full-time FCBC staff.
There were also a large number of lay leaders who attended the school, many of whom took a break from their jobs.
It marked a tremendous breakthrough where we would see more students enrolling in subsequent years, each with a great testimony of how their lives have been impacted and how they have been trained to appreciate the Word of God..

In 2010, 47 students enrolled in the school, most of whom were lay people.
The 47 included our first intake of 15 students in the Chinese language Certificate programme.
The Chinese class comprised mainly cell leaders from diverse backgrounds, including a retired 75 year old lady! Another first for FCBS was the participation of a youth leader from another local church for the English Certificate programme.
To ensure that the students receive a richer learning experience, various overseas guest speakers were also invited to share their knowledge and experience with our students.
Some of these speakers included Ps Richard Witmer from the USA, Ps Dishan and Ps Colton from Sri Lanka.

In 2011, FCBS had 78 students, including our first batch of six international students – four from China and one each from Sri Lanka and Japan.
We invited more overseas guest speakers, including Ps Bert Pretorius from South Africa, Ps Dennis Balcombe from Hong Kong and Dr Doug Norwood from the USA.
We also invited a number of lay leaders from FCBC who are successful marketplace ministers to share their experience and testimonies with our students..

In 2012, we had 73 students including 10 international students – 10 from China and one each from Mauritius and Italy.
It was also the first time we organised a Mission Exposure Trip for our students to Batam.
19 students from the English class and 18 students from the Chinese class went for the trip.
A few students led an elderly Chinese couple staying in Pulau Belakang to Christ.
It was a memorable experience for the students.
