Singer-songwriter Caleb Daniel Lit formed Bleak with local musicians in Rovaniemi 1997. Three years later the band disbanded while Caleb continued writing a bulk of two albums. Bleak regrouped in Helsinki, Finland in 2002. A year later 'Smoke' won YleX's Demo of the Week competition. Produced by Tomi Malm, 'Crossword' single got heavy rotation in the radios when released in 2004.. . Finnish major labels took interest in the band, including Asko Kallonen, the A&R of HIM. Kallonen and Ville Valo saw Bleak open for Poets of the Fall in 2005 and later Bleak signed a record deal with HMC. Bleak opened for HIM in Helldone Festival and their first official single 'Play' hit Top 10 on the Finnish singles chart.. . Bleak performed in Berlin, Frannz Club and released their debut album 'Burns Inside' in 2006. 'What You Are' rose on top of the singles charts and 'Fate' feat. Ana Johnsson became a smash hit, winning Best Nordic Song in NRJ Radio Awards 2007. Bleak played two shows in Ikra Club, Moscow and went on a break afterwards. The band began preproducing their second album a year later. The recording sessions produced video material and few shows but early in 2009 Bleak officially disbanded.. . Caleb recruited a new lineup (Tayo on drums, Jay on the bass, Waino on lead guitars), renamed the band Fireal and their sound "imperial". Fireal adopted Bleak's songs, logo and the new album. They recorded 'Halo' and 'The Imperia', performed in Lost in Music and opened for HIM in Helldone in 2009. . . Fireal signed a record deal with Warner Music Finland and performed 'The Imperia' live in the movie "Priest of Evil" in 2010. Their music video was shot on set for the first single 'Halo', one of the most aired ones in Finnish radios that year. The second single 'Breathe' received noticeable radio airplay and was co-written in Stockholm 2006 with Per Aldeheim and Max Martin as the first Finnish co-write with Martin.. . 'The Dark Side' was YleX's Album of the Week and received several four-to-five star reviews upon its release in 2011. Fireal's third single 'Ariel' reached number 1 and stayed on top of the YleX Most Wanted chart for several weeks. Later that year, Fireal went on a touring break as Caleb joined the Finnish Clash of Choirs as the assistant choir director and right hand man of Lordi, performing acoustic versions of 'Ariel'.. . Fireal entered the studio after a small hiatus in summer 2012. Later that year Caleb started preproducing the third Fireal album with the working title 'Hi-Lite'. A destined first release from the album, 'Serafi', was announced in 2013 but cancelled the following year. Caleb performed a few acoustic shows around Finland and Fireal was set to return on stage in Beatcon Music Festival 2015. After the festival got cancelled, Fireal released a music video of "Joy" as a gift to the fans. Several songs from the new album have been named, including 'Cibrius', 'Closer' and 'Aurora'. . .
