Fundación Universitas es una iniciativa de un grupo de estudiantes y profesores universitarios para promover el desarrollo tanto humano como profesional de quienes trabajan y estudian en la Universidad.. . Actualmente, el estudiante parece haber perdido la predisposición al compromiso, a ayudar a la sociedad. Ante esta situación y con la idea de fomentar este espíritu solidario, nace la Fundación Universitas. Cada uno de sus proyectos persigue dos objetivos estrechamente unidos: la formación y el espíritu solidario, con la finalidad última de cultivar en los estudiantes universitarios, una formación humana y profesional que les confiera una actitud solidaria que se despliegue luego en su propio entorno social.. . La formación humana se ofrece, por ejemplo, a través de diversos Cursos de formación, así como de un Programa de Voluntariado que permita forjar en los estudiantes un ánimo de entrega y trabajo en equipo, a través de la ayuda a los más necesitados. Junto con el espíritu solidario como medio para cultivar la formación humana, de los estudiantes universitarios, ha de darse también una formación académica y profesional tanto para quienes cursan o terminan estudios universitarios, como para quienes quieren o acaban de acceder a la Universidad. De ahí que Universitas se ocupe también tanto de preparar y facilitar el acceso a un puesto de trabajo a quienes finalizan sus estudios, como de organizar cursos y seminarios encaminados a asesorar a quienes estudian en la Universidad o pretenden acceder a ella, como por ejemplo mediante el Programa Preuniversitas.. . Un tercer pilar es el de la formación cultural e intelectual dirigida a promover la reflexión y el análisis crítico, para dar respuesta a las inquietudes y necesidades que nuestra sociedad plantea hoy al universitario.
