Formado em Direito e Administração, sou mestre em Engenharia de Produção e doutorando em Engenharia do Conhecimento. Casado e pai de quatro filhas, iniciei na vida pública aos 19 anos, em 1992, quando fui eleito o vereador mais jovem de Florianópolis. Desde então, conquistamos cinco mandatos consecutivos na Capital e fui o vereador mais votado da história do PMDB catarinense. Apresentei mais de mil propostas legislativas e, então, eleito o presidente da Câmara da Capital. Assumi mandato de deputado federal em 2011, apresentando diversos projetos em Brasília e conquistando recursos para o Estado. Fui candidato a prefeito de Florianópolis em 2012 e fizemos mais de 106 mil votos, conquistando quase metade dos votos da cidade. Presidente da Fundação do Meio Ambiente - Fatma, no ano seguinte, trabalhei para revolucionar a política ambiental do Estado, pautado em eficiência e agilidade. Em 2014, me candidatei a Deputado Estadual e fui eleito o sétimo deputado mais votado de Santa Catarina. Em Florianópolis, fizemos a maior votação da história, com mais de 28 mil votos.
